Jonathan was my brother who meant the world to me. He was the type of person who always put others before himself and never said no to anyone. Jonathan was the type of person who no matter what mood you were in he would make you smile. Jonathan and I did everything together.
Jonathan was the type of person who treated me as an equal and not as his younger sister. From when I was younger he always asked me to tag along with him and he made me feel like I mattered. Jonathan was always reaching out to others and telling them how important they were. I remember how he helped those with disabilities despite having his own. Jon suffered from Epilepsy and Myasthenia Gravis but never let that get him down. He was always creating awareness for others and helped found a leading Epilepsy Group in his home town. Jonathan was an individual who constantly raised money for the March of Dimes even until his death.
Jonathan was the type of person who despite being hurt my so many people over the years he never let it bother him. He always would say they didn't know better. My brother wanted everyone to be loved even if they didn't see it themselves. He felt everyone with a disability deserved a voice. His motto in life was: "It is not about our disabilities but our abilities and what we do with them" This was his motto from when he got sick at the age of 9 up until the day he died at the age of 29.
