Its sad to have lost a person who truly loved God's creation. May Jehovah the creator of all things including the birds Mr. Igag loved so much, continue to comfort his family and dear friends.

I was very saddened to see that someone with such a joyous spirit and who helped bring such wonderful knowledge of nature as in 'Birds of the Gods' had passed away so early in life.

Very sorry to hear of Paul's death. He seemed to be such sincere and dedicated man. He surely inspired many people and that is the best legacy. I am certain his fine work will continue. Thank you, Paul. You will be missed.

I just watched the documentary "Birds of the Gods". It was wonderful. I was shocked at the end to see he had passed away. My thoughts are with his family, friends, coworkers, and all the birds that will be studied and saved because of him! RIP Paul!!!

01-30-2011 4:40 PM -- By: Glenn Brown,  From: Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada

After being so impressed today while watching Paul in action in the documentary "Birds of the Gods", it came as a real shock when the credits said that this wonderful man had passed away at such a young age. He came across as such a wonderful and helpful person that I could not believe that this could be true. Just from this one small 'encounter' with Paul, he made an impression with me, especially since I lived and worked in Papua New Guinea from 1979-82.  My work with the Papua New Guinea Electricity Commission took me all over the country as I dealt with the many large and small generating stations scatttered thoughout PNG. Watching Paul's exploits in the Highlands brought back many fond memories of this amazing country. It was fantastic to see the efforts that Paul and his female colleague made during their endeavours in the Highlands. Thank you Paul and may you rest in peace.

After watching "Birds of the Gods", I was heartbroken to see that the life and work of this wonderful man had been cut short. What a tragic loss for all of us, for New Guinea, for its birds; but most of all for Paul's own family.

When I saw the cause of Paul's death,  I know that sudden heart attack can take anyone at a young age as it did my son three years ago.

I so enjoyed seeing show Birds of the Gods and was so saddened at the end by seeing that Paul died.  I lost my son at a similar age, so I fully sympathize with his grieving family.

01-28-2011 2:38 PM -- By: Cindy Dell,  From: Waycross, Georgia, USA

A friend and I were watching TV recently and saw at the end of the show that Mr. Igag had passed away.  We were surprised since Mr. Igag didn't seem to be very old.  His passing has stuck with us until I finally researched the cause of his death.  I know he will be missed.  What a beautiful smile and I'm sure he had a beautiful spirit.

Our condolences,

John Carter & Cindy Dell
